Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has sensationally claimed that his life is in danger.
In a letter to the Inspector of General Police and President William Ruto, Gachagua has listed multiple incidents that he claims were a threat to his life.

The incidents, he said, date back to November 28, 2024, when he was attacked during a funeral service in Limuru, Kiambu County.

He termed the attack a failed assassination attempt that had failed.
Gachagua went on to claim that on December 19, 2024, he was trailed by an unmarked vehicle for over 150km in Makueni County for reasons he does not yet know.
The ex-DP claimed that his family members have also been trailed by unknown people on many occasions.

These people, he added, use unmarked cars and clandestine number plates.
Gachagua also made six demands to the Inspector General, calling for the immediate arrest and prosecution of individuals responsible for acts of violence against him.

He demanded enhanced security at all public events he attends moving forward.
He asked to be accorded adequate personal security without immediately.

Gachagua also urged police officers to cease and desist from interfering with peaceful assemblies and stop National Intelligence Service officers from trailing him.

The former Deputy President also asked for protection for his homes and property.
