Lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu Shot Dead in His Car Along Magadi Road, Nairobi

Prominent lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu, a former chairman of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal, was on Tuesday morning shot dead in his car while driving to work along Magadi Road, Nairobi.

According to officials, Mbobu was also a lecturer at the Multimedia University. Witnesses and police reports indicate that the lawyer was attacked while stuck in traffic by two gunmen riding on a motorcycle.

The assailants reportedly shattered his windshield before firing at least three shots, hitting him in the chin. His lifeless body was later found slumped in the driver’s seat as police officers cordoned off the scene, located less than a kilometer from Galleria Mall.

After the attack, the gunmen sped off on their motorcycle, leaving behind a shocked crowd of motorists and residents.

Police have since launched investigations into the incident.
