Renowned Congolese preacher and philanthropist Prophet Charles Motondo has urged Kenyans to cease mocking President William Ruto, cautioning that such actions could invite divine repercussions.

Speaking during his recent visit to Kenya, the charismatic leader expressed concern over the use of nicknames like “Kasongo,” which he believes disrespect both the president and God’s anointment.

“Calling the president funny names undermines God’s authority,” Motondo remarked.

“The Bible warns against cursing leaders appointed by God. Criticizing him is akin to criticizing God.”

The prophet called for introspection, emphasizing that corruption extends beyond government to churches and society.

He urged Kenyans to uphold respect for leaders and hold all sectors accountable while also encouraging President Ruto to address citizens’ frustrations with empathy and decisive action.

“There’s no president who will be liked by everyone. They come and go. We’ve had many presidents before, and now we have President Ruto. But weren’t you the same people who chanted against the previous president? No leader will go through their entire term without facing challenges and opposition,” he said.

The prophet reminded Kenyans that no president is immune to criticism, pointing out that every leader faces opposition. He recalled how past presidents were also criticized during their time in office.

“I pray that God helps the president understand that when people cry, it’s not because they hate him, but because they are frustrated. He must do his best to solve their problems, as God chose him to lead them,” he said.

His statement comes at a time when three people who were reported missing were all set free on Monday.

Billy Mwangi alongside Peter Muteti, Bernard Kavuli and Rony Kiplangat who were also missing were reunited with their families on Monday morning.

The National Police Service has said it is investigating the cases as it appealed to the public to cooperate by sharing information that might be helpful in the process.

“The National Police Service remains committed to ensuring that all these matters are thoroughly investigated to their logical conclusion,” NPS said in a statement.

Prophet CB Motondo, widely celebrated for his prophetic accuracy and philanthropic work, has planted churches globally and provided aid to widows, orphans, and disadvantaged communities.

He also serves as a presidential advisor to leaders in Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

He claims God sent him to Kenya to minister to the government and the church and also give hope to the less fortunate.
