Former Churchill Show comedian Nasra Yusuff has officially resigned from her position as Vice Chairperson of the Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya (DCCAK).
In a heartfelt statement released on June 6, 2025, Nasra explained that the decision was deeply personal and came after careful reflection. She emphasized that her values of alignment and conviction outweighed holding a title or position.
“Earlier today, I officially stepped down from my role as Vice Chairperson of the Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya,” she wrote.
“This was not an easy decision, but it was one I made after deep personal reflection. Sometimes, alignment and conviction are more important than titles or positions. I believe in serving from a place of peace, purpose, and authenticity — and right now, stepping back feels like the most honest thing to do.”
She also expressed her gratitude for the support she received during her short tenure.

“I recently shared my excitement about being the Vice Chairperson of the Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya. However, after deep reflection, I would like to share that I have decided to step back from the role. Asanteni for the opportunity, and I wish the board all the best moving forward,” Nasra added.
“I’m grateful for the support many of you showed me during my appointment. That encouragement never went unnoticed, and I carry it with me as I continue to advocate for creatives in other meaningful ways,” she concluded.
The leadership of DCCAK was officially unveiled only a few weeks ago. Nasra had been appointed as Vice Chairperson alongside popular content creator Terence Creative, who was named Secretary General .
Other members of the leadership team include Director Trevor (CEO), Joan Wanjiku (Secretary General), Hezron Kipkemboi, Claudia Naisabwa, Joseph Kashina, and Sammy Kioko.
Nasra’s departure marks the first resignation from the newly announced leadership, which had been welcomed by Kenya’s content creation community.
