Nameless’s Father Laid to Rest in An Emotional Ceremony

The late J.S Mathenge, father to legendary musician David Mathenge aka Nameless was on Thursday laid to rest in a very emotional burial ceremony.

Nameless took to his socials to send out a message of gratitude to all those who stood by him and supported him and his family since the demise of Mzee Mathenge.

“Yesterday We laid Dad to rest. It was a blessed day full of inspiring tributes, a show of real friendships, and an emotional farewell to a true Shuja, J.S. Mathenge! Our friends and relatives stood with us in every way, and helped us give our Dad a befitting sendoff!,” Nameless said in a statement.

“I felt the love of the Lord and the authentic spirit of my dad guide the day! Truly proud of the man my dad was to many! Thank you for standing with us! Blessed to have friends and Family like this! #RestWellPaPa #MyFoundation #MathengeLegacy,”.

The legendary star announced the death of his father on  April 8th, 2025.

He wrote; “Rest well Daddy💔❤️. I am blessed beyond measure to have had you as a father! #WithTheAngels #MathengeSnr,”.

Singer Wahu Kagwi (Nameless’s wife) shared; “Rest well Dad…until we meet again 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🕊️🤍,”.
