Nameless pens heartfelt tribute to late E-sir on his 22nd death Anniversary

Legendary Kenyan singer David Mathenge aka Nameless has paid tribute to the late E-sir who died 22 years ago.

In a heartfelt tribute via his socials, Nameless remembered E-sir as a dear friend and an Icon of the industry.

He went down the memory lane to state tat he still remembers the day their car lost control and overturned seven times.

March 16, 2025 – 22 Years Without Esir!

Today marks 22 years since I lost a dear friend, a legend, and an icon—Esir. That day remains the hardest of my life.

I still remember the terror as the car lost control and overturned—once, twice, seven times. With each violent spin, I fought for my life, screaming, refusing to believe that this could be the end. When the car finally came to a stop, I gasped, realizing I was still alive. A wave of relief washed over me—but it was short-lived.

I turned to check on everyone. Santos and Shaddy had minor injuries. Kevin was unconscious. And Esir… he was nowhere to be found. i found out later he had been thrown from the car, and the impact had taken his life instantly, this was too painful to bare💔. Kevin, a new friend also passed away on the way to the hospital.💔

Losing Esir and Kevin that day showed me the brutal reality of life and death. One moment, we were celebrating a successful concert in Nakuru, dreaming about what the future holds for both of us. The next, everything had changed. Death does not ask for permission. It comes without warning.

But today is not just about mourning. It is about celebrating life—Esir’s, Kevin’s, and our own. If there’s one lesson that day taught me, it’s that every breath is a gift. No matter how good or bad life feels, if you are here, you have something precious. Live fully. Love deeply. Be grateful for the gift of life . Make it worth while.

To Esir’s fans, let’s keep his spirit alive—through his music,and emboding his spirit of humility, hard work, passion and Using your talent well. He may have left us too soon, but his impact is forever.

Rest in power, Esir & Kevin. You are missed. You are remembered.

E-Sir’s Death

E-Sir died in 2003 after being involved in a tragic road accident.

He was only 22 years old and was doing so well in the music industry.

He died while returning to Nairobi from a concert in Nakuru.
