Mrs Nasibu! Zuchu Changes Her Title After Wedding Diamond Platnumz

Tanzanian singer and WCB signee Zuhura Othman Soud, popularly known as Zuchu, has updated her name following a secret wedding to fellow artist Diamond Platnumz.

The Sukari hitmaker has changed her social media handles to reflect her new title, “Mrs Nasibu,” signaling her marriage to Nasibu Abdul Juma, better known as Diamond Platnumz.

The name change comes shortly after Diamond publicly revealed that he is now a married man, having formalized his relationship with Zuchu through a traditional Islamic wedding ceremony.

The wedding reportedly took place about four months ago, but the couple chose to keep it under wraps until recently.

Adding to the confirmation, an undated video surfaced online showing Zuchu proudly speaking about her union with the Bongo Flava star. In the clip, she can be heard saying, “My husband, we are married.”

The Marriage

On June 1st, Diamond shared a reflective message on his personal growth, noting that he’s learned to remain silent in the face of false narratives—a transformation he attributes to divine wisdom.

“I know everyone has their own ideas about me and marriage, but I’ll tell you more when the time is right,” he wrote, hinting at his marital status while maintaining a tone of mystery.

The statement stirred mixed reactions among fans, with some believing the wedding to be authentic, while others suspected it might be a publicity stunt.

However, any doubts were seemingly put to rest by family confirmations. Diamond’s mother, Mama Dangote, celebrated the news on social media, writing, “Alhamdulillah, it went well.

Congratulations, my son Naseeb and your wife Zuhura.” His sister, Esma, also extended her congratulations to the newlyweds.

Footage from the ceremony showed Diamond placing his hand on Zuchu’s head—a symbolic gesture of acceptance in Islamic tradition. Later, in a video recorded during a car ride, a visibly elated Zuchu declared, “We are married!”

The couple’s relationship, which began in 2021, has had its ups and downs. A public breakup in November 2024 raised questions about their future, and Diamond’s flirtations at events like Juma Jux’s wedding only added to the speculation.

Earlier in 2025, he announced plans to marry Zuchu before Ramadan, but the actual ceremony was delayed, leaving fans guessing—until now.
