Kairo defends Wavinya’s past as he snitches on models making millions

Businessman Khalif Kairo is out here defending his lover Maria Wavinya after details of her past life emerged online.

On Wednesday, Kairo and Wavinya had a lengthy interview with Mungai Eve where unknown details of their life were discussed.

During the conversation, Wavinya opened up about working for a Chinese man called Mr Wang – creating content and travelling the world.

This confession sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans with many trying to read between the lines on what Maria meant when she said “travelling the world and making content’.

This discussion prompted Kairo to jump and try and offer a proper explanation of how models have been making millions working for Chinese companies.

He gave an example of a Chinese app called ‘Youku” that pays a model to create content on the platform.

“Acheni niwapee siri ya kutoka block ju naona  kuna vitu mingi hamjui.

Kuna website inaitwa “Youku” . Has around 500M users. 99% chinese. A handful number of Kenyan models have quietly made millions pushing content and influencing Chinese companies on that app😅,” Kairo said.

He went to throw shade at those attacking his girlfriend – saying they were just jealous of her achievements.

“Mkamba ako tu pale Nyumbani, demure , doing her things lakini pesa ya royalties inaingia ile upande ingine from her agency in Sata Afrika. Mtu amefanyia kina Ferrari influencing, chini ya maji😅. Wewe uko hapo, throwing shade ndo upate impressions za elon. Feilyaaa,” Kairo said.

At the same time, Kairo questioned why people are always quick to judge others when they become rich at a young age.

He argued that many are linked to the ‘Wash Wash’ business.

“Kijana ukimake pesa hii town, wanasemanga ni wash wash. Msichana ukimake pesa, wanasema wewe ni escort ama malaya. Ju mindset zao ni average, watu ni wa wababa, kedo 30 years, anastruggle and has zero to show for himself. Inaitwa pepo ya wivu na tunaikemea😅,” Kairo said.

However, Kairo’s series of tweets appear to indirect defense to his girlfriend Wavinya who landed in trouble with Netizens with a revelation of her past life.
