Following a triumphant international debut with two sold-out shows in Reading and Luton, UK, celebrated comedian Auntie Jemimah is set to bring her hit vernacular stand-up showcase Maitu Múkabete back home for its third edition.
The much-anticipated event will be staged on Saturday, 30th August 2025, at the KICC Tsavo Ballroom in Nairobi.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Philip Karanja, popularly known as Director Phil, Maitu Múkabete 3 promises more than just an evening of comedy.
It is positioned as a full-fledged cultural experience—one that embraces identity, heritage, and women’s voices in the creative industry while cementing humor as a tool for cultural diplomacy.
Speaking ahead of the show, Auntie Jemimah expressed her excitement about returning to a home audience after the UK debut:

The event organizers have ensured smooth logistics for all attendees. Walk-in guests will access the venue via the City Hall entrance, while those driving in will use the Parliament Road entrance for parking.
