Comedian and activist Eric Omondi has announced a five-day charity walk from Nairobi to Busia as he steps up efforts to raise funds for the construction of the Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre.
In a video shared on his social media platforms, Eric revealed that the walk will kick off on March 2 and continue until Friday, passing through several towns across the country.
“I walked to Mombasa, and we raised enough money to begin this project, and that’s the most important part. I am going to keep walking and probably the whole of Kenya until this project is complete,” he said.
The Busia trek will see him pass through major towns including Limuru, Naivasha, Nakuru, Gilgil, Kericho, Kisumu, Maseno, Luanda, Siaya and Bondo before reaching the border town.

According to Eric, the goal of the initiative is to mobilise more resources to complete the rescue centre, which he described as a transformative project aimed at supporting vulnerable Kenyans.
“Sisi kwa sisi Help and Rescue Centre will provide free healthcare, free education, Sisi kwa Sisi hospital, two ambulances and a warehouse,” he said.
The activist expressed confidence that construction will be completed before May 2026, noting that the continued charity walks are designed to ensure steady progress on the project.
“We are going to finish the Sisi kwa Sisi Rescue Center before May 2026,” he said.
He also thanked supporters who contributed during the Mombasa charity walk and urged Kenyans to continue backing the initiative, stressing that support goes beyond financial donations.

“Keep sending whatever you can send and it’s not a must to send money. You can send iron nails, iron sheets, cement, sanitary pads, cooking materials and even prayers,” he said.
In recent years, Eric has positioned himself at the forefront of charity initiatives supporting disadvantaged communities, leveraging his public platform to rally support for social causes.
His upcoming Nairobi to Busia walk is expected to attract attention along the route, with supporters likely to join him at various points as he continues his fundraising mission.
