East African Breweries Plc (EABL) has officially launched World Tequila Month celebrations in Kenya, replacing the traditional one-day World Tequila Day, celebrated globally on July 24th.
The vibrant, month-long campaign is aimed at deepening consumer appreciation and solidifying the company’s leadership in the premium tequila market.
The extended celebration reflects EABL’s strategic focus on expanding its tequila footprint in Kenya through premium brands Don Julio and Casamigos, both known for their craftsmanship, versatility, and top-tier quality.
“World Tequila Month reflects our ambition to lead Kenya’s premium tequila market. This month, we are inviting our consumers to experience the world of Don Julio and Casamigos tequila,” said Victoria Mbugua, Brand Manager for Don Julio and Casamigos at EABL.
“These brands are setting the benchmark for quality and versatility, allowing us to move beyond the shot glass and elevate tequila for every occasion. Our goal is to redefine tequila’s identity and advance consumer appreciation within the category.”

Throughout July, EABL will host a series of consumer-facing activations across the country. These events will spotlight various tequila experiences—from expertly crafted cocktails to sipping tequila neat—showcasing the depth and diversity of the Don Julio and Casamigos portfolios.

Consumers can look forward to curated serves such as:
• Don Julio Blanco with apple juice
• Don Julio Reposado or Casamigos Reposado with pineapple juice
• Casamigos served neat, highlighting its smooth finish
• Don Julio paired with pineapple chunks and a dash of Tabasco, for an elevated tasting experience
