EABL cancels upcoming Tusker Oktobafest Nairobi Edition

EABL, through its flagship brand, Tusker, has announced the cancellation of the 2024 #OktobaFest main event that had been scheduled to take place at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi.

In an official statement issued on Friday, October 4, 2024, the Brewer noted the festival scheduled for October 26th and 27th will no longer be happening.

However, they mentioned that they will proceed to host mini-shows across the country ‘to give fans more intimate beer and music experiences’.

“We’ll go even further with Kenyan acts across more venues, toasting with your favorite beers, all while celebrating our culture and bringing vibes from all over, right next door,” EABL has said in a statement.

Following the developments, all early bird and advance ticket holders are set to receive 100% refunds within the next 14 days from today, October 4.

The official statement says;

“October is the month to celebrate beer, everywhere in the world. For five years we’ve been marking this celebration uniquely with our own Kenyan twist to it through the Tusker Oktobafest, a culmination of great beers, vibrant Kenyan culture, and unparalleled Kenyan entertainment.

This year our vision remains true – taking beer, food & culture, and showcasing amazing talent and music experiences nationwide. Throughout October, fans will be able to experience events right across the country. As we usher in Mashujaa day, we’ll go even further with Kenyan acts across more venues, toasting with your favourite beers – all while celebrating our culture and bringing vibes from all over, right next door.

To give you more intimate beer and music experiences at select venues across the country, we will not be hosting one single festival in Nairobi at Ngong Racecourse on the 26th & 27th of October 2024. We will be issuing a 100% refund of the value incurred via the platform where the early bird & advance tickets have been purchased within the next 14 days.
