Drama in Paradise? Zuchu Lashes Out Over Late-Night Calls to Diamond

Tanzanian songstress Zuchu has caused a stir online after unleashing a fiery rant aimed at an unidentified woman who allegedly keeps calling her husband, Diamond Platnumz, late at night.

In a strongly-worded post shared via her social media platforms, the Sukari hitmaker did not mince her words, warning the mystery woman, whose name she claims starts with the letter “A” – to stop disrespecting their marriage.

“I just don’t understand why someone would call a married man usiku wa manane, like very late in the night. Don’t you know he has a wife?” Zuchu lashed out. “If you know your name starts with A… I see your calls. Stop calling my husband.”

Her rant sparked an online debate, with fans divided between defending her reaction and questioning the current status of her relationship with Diamond.

Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz, both signed to the WCB Wasafi record label, have had a close working and romantic relationship since 2021.

While they initially remained tight-lipped about their status, hints of a romantic union started surfacing through public displays of affection, music collaborations, and shared holidays.

Though they have never publicly confirmed a formal wedding date, Zuchu referred to Diamond as her “husband” in a 2023 interview, and in several online interactions since then, leading fans to believe that the two might have had a private wedding ceremony.

Their chemistry both on and off stage continues to feed speculation about the depth of their bond, even as dramas like this one threaten to stir up fresh headlines.

The Secret Wedding

In June 2025, WCB signee Zuhura Othman Soud, popularly known as Zuchu, updated her name following a secret wedding to fellow artist Diamond Platnumz.

The singer changed her social media handles to reflect her new title, “Mrs Nasibu,” signaling her marriage to Nasibu Abdul Juma, better known as Diamond Platnumz.

The name change came after Diamond publicly revealed that he is now a married man, having formalized his relationship with Zuchu through a traditional Islamic wedding ceremony.

The wedding reportedly took place about six months ago, but the couple kept it under wraps until recently.

Adding to the confirmation, an undated video surfaced online showing Zuchu proudly speaking about her union with the Bongo Flava star. In the clip, she can be heard saying, “My husband, we are married.”
