Portuguese footballer Cristian Ronaldo has hinted that he might retire from football while at his current club, Al-Nassr.

The 39-year-old football star said that he would probably retire from football in two or three years.

The Portuguese forward has been linked to returning to his former club, Sporting Lisbon where he began his football career.

Ronaldo joined the Saudi Pro League in January 2023 after leaving Manchester United.

“I’m happy at this club, I feel good in this country too. I’m happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue,” Ronaldo said.

So far, Christiano has scored 898 career goals, with 130 of those coming from Portugal.

Ronaldo who has also played for Juventus and Real Madrid says that he will also be retiring from International football.

He is expected to represent his country in upcoming matches where Portugal will be facing Croatia on September 5th, Scotland three days later Poland on October 12, 2024, and Scotland on October 15, 2024.

As he thinks about retirement, Cristiano made it clear that he has no plans of becoming a football manager.

With 140 goals in 183 appearances, the six-time Ballon d’Or winner is the competition’s all-time best goalscorer, 11 goals ahead of Lionel Messi and 46 ahead of Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski in third.

He has also won five Champions League titles, one with Manchester United and four with Real Madrid.
