Alex Mwakideu reveals why he closed down his lucrative business in Kitengela

Media personality and Businessman Alex Mwakideu has finally revealed why he closed down his car wash and restaurant business in Kitengela.

Appearing on ‘This Friday with Betty’ on TV47, Mwakideu disclosed that the closure of the business resulted from a disagreement he had with the landlord who had rented the space to him.

However, he mentioned that his car wash in Athi River is still operational because he owns the space.

He further stated that he chose the carwash business because he is passionate about cars.

“Carwash – I had two actually, one in Kitengela and another one in Athi River. The one in Athi River is still operational but I closed the one in Kitengela. So in Athi River, I’m the Landlord but in Kitengela I was a Tenant and I hard shaped the space very well- using millions to set up the restaurant and car wash then we had a disagreement with the landlord and that is why I closed it down,” Mwakideu explained.

However, he mentioned that he will still set up another carwash when he gets the ideal location because he is passionate about cars.

“I love pampering cars and I know what to do when it comes to that and even I my carwash I sometimes dressed up and washed cars.

So the only way I can do it again is when I get my own space,” Mwakideu added.

In January 2023, Mwakideu announced that; “Pampered Village and Pampered Rides Kitengela Branch are officially closed. Whatever services you will receive from the premises located behind Ola Petrol Station in Kitengela are not of Pampered Enterprises,”

During the interview, Mwakideu also revealed that he abandoned his political career due to the busy schedule that comes with the office.

The radio guru says that he is a family man but mostly politics takes that away.
